Hutchins, Paul u. Betsy (1993). The Modern Mule. Hee Haw Book Service. 134 Seiten.
It was a generally accepted belief in the mid-1960’s that the mule was an animal nearing extinction. At about this time, THE AMERICAN DONKEY AND MULE SOCIETY was conceived and brought into being. From this time forward the popularity of the mule has been gaining steadily, until, today mules have found a place in the growing equine hobby industry. As this book is published, there are many shows for mules and donkeys, a national club (The American Donkey and Mule Society) and many local and regional clubs devoted either to donkeys and mules or to mules alone. Each year the shows grow larger or new ones come on the scene. Mule racing is gaining a foothold in the public imagination and has been eagerly welcomed by many hobbiests. The mule is in!
